Every passenger is allowed one carry-on or cabin baggge, with a maximum weight of 7kg. Maximum allowed dimensions are 56cm x 36cm x 23cm for Airbus flights and 56 cm x 35cm x 20cm for ATR flights.
To all of you who are planning to travel by air, I'll be sharing some tips about carry on baggage. Which ones are allowed and which ones are not. I have worked as a customer service agent at an airline company before so I have some ideas about it.
Most passengers decides to hand carry their baggage specially if they do not have baggage allowance for check in. It's either they forgot to purchase one, or they are lite travelers. But I have experienced a lot of passengers who are making noise at the check in counter because they do not know the rules for the carry on baggage.
Not allowed for hand carry:
- One of the most confiscated items on carry on baggage are liquid containers higher than 100ml. Perfumes/colognes, Lotions, Toothpaste, Deodorants, Shampoos, Oils and any other containers containing liquids. So make sure not to bring those. Sayang lang. :D
- Metal and sharp objects are not allowed as well. Things like nail cutters, stun gun flash lights, scissors and any other sharp objects which can be used to harm passengers on board. Electric cables are also not allowed like hair irons and extension chords. Laptop chargers and phone chargers are exempted.
- Tripod is not allowed for hand carry BUT, this is for free when checked in. Make sure to ask for a fragile sticker for extra protection. Monopod is ok for hand carry.
- Canned foods are not allowed. Never bring canned goods or it will be confiscated as well. Sayang! Lalo na mga imported canned goods nyo! :D Any foods that has vinegar content are not allowed too.
- Lighters
- Fireworks
- Batteries
Not allowed for check in:
- Laptops, Cellphones, Cameras, or any other gadgets are not allowed for check in.
- Jewelries, Cash and any other valuable items are not allowed for check in.
